Police in Singapore are investigating a 17-year-old who allegedly threw a bag off the platform at Cove LRT station in Punggol on 27 September. The bag contained two blocks of ice cream. The incident was recorded on video and posted online on 28 September, gaining significant attention with over 245,000 views.
The teen was identified through CCTV footage and ground enquiries. Police say that if convicted of committing a rash act, he could face up to six months in jail and a fine. Separately, transport operator SBS Transit is also investigating fare evasion, after four members of the group the teen was with did not tap in at the fare gates.
