About Nueava
The problem we solve
Every year, Singapore publishes detailed Primary 1 registration results for each school — including vacancies, applicant numbers, and which distance and citizenship groups entered a ballot.
Years of public data are available. In theory, parents can use it to understand whether a school was oversubscribed in their distance range, how often ballots occurred, and how demand has changed over time.
In practice, it is much harder.
To interpret the data properly, parents first need to understand which registration phase applies to their family, which distance band they fall into, and how past trends may evolve by their child's target intake year.
Most families piece this together manually across multiple websites, spreadsheets and browser tabs — often one or two years before registration — while still wondering whether they are looking at the right data for their situation.
The information exists. The personalised answer does not.
What Nueava does
Nueava builds family intelligence tools for parents who plan ahead. SG P1 Ballot Compass is our first.
The tool takes a family's profile — including citizenship status, home location and relevant registration priorities — and maps it against the P1 registration process.
For each school, it:
- identifies the phase your child may enter
- determines the relevant distance band
- analyses six years of registration and ballot history
- projects how demand may develop by your target intake year
The result is a personalised shortlist showing your estimated chance band — High, Medium, Low or Blocked — together with your likely registration phase, historical trend and key scenarios.
You can also explore how the picture may change under different choices: moving closer to a school, qualifying for an earlier phase, or taking action earlier in the planning journey.
Instead of asking parents to interpret years of public data themselves, Nueava turns that data into a clearer view of what their options may look like.
What this is — and what it isn't
SG P1 Ballot Compass is:
Data-driven analysis built on publicly available Singapore government registration and ballot data. Personalised to your family profile. Independent.
It is not:
Affiliated with the Ministry of Education or any individual school.
A guarantee of admission. Actual registration outcomes are determined by MOE and depend on the circumstances of each registration year.
A substitute for visiting schools, speaking with educators, or talking to other parents. Data can clarify your options, but choosing a school is still a personal decision.
How we make this work
The ranked shortlist is free, with no account required.
For families who want to go deeper:

No ads. No selling of your data.
When you share your email with us, we use it to send your report and occasional Nueava updates — nothing else.
Why Nueava is a brand, not a personal profile
We keep our professional identities separate from this project so we can write and analyse independently — without conflicts or day-job considerations.
Everything on Nueava is built and funded by us, on our own time, using public data and our own analysis.
The work should stand on its own: clear methodology, transparent assumptions and independent judgement.
